West Newton Train Station
The old B&O Station at West Newton was built in 1893 by renowned architect Ephraim Francis Baldwin. Baldwin was named Head Architect for the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad in 1872 and during the course of his career designed numerous buildings for the railroad. Many of these railroad structures are still standing, mainly in Maryland but also Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
Baldwin is credited as building some 500 structures during his 55 year career. Examples of his work can be found from New York to Ohio and from Pennsylvania to Georgia.
The train station today is used by CSX as some sort of shop.
